Personal profile

I am a Senior Lecturer and registered Paramedic with the HCPC, bringing extensive frontline experience from working within an NHS Ambulance Service Trust. My clinical background spans advanced life support, trauma care, and patient assessment and management in the pre-hospital environment.

Throughout my career as a paramedic, I have developed expertise in high-pressure and dynamic situations, delivering enhanced pre-hospital care and rapid response to complex medical emergencies. Alongside my clinical practice, I have many years of experience as a Practice Educator, supporting students to grow in confidence while developing their clinical skills and knowledge.

At the university, I am committed to bringing real-world experience into the classroom, with a particular focus on pre-hospital medical emergencies. I lead on practice placements for the apprentice cohorts, overseeing tripartite reviews and guiding students as they build independence and professional confidence. In addition, I serve as a Module Leader and contribute to teaching across a range of modules on both undergraduate and apprenticeship programmes.
