Personal profile

I am a Senior Lecturer in Biology with expertise in forensic and population genetics. My career spans both academia and industry, where I have applied scientific research to practical problems and led projects that connect new technologies with real-world use.

My current research focuses on novel methods and the application of environmental DNA (eDNA) in forensics and biodiversity studies. I work closely with industry partners to help translate laboratory research into applied solutions.

Having lived and worked in Poland, Malaysia, Australia, and the United Kingdom, I bring a diverse international perspective to my work. This experience has shaped my strong interest in the internationalisation of higher education. I now contribute to developing and overseeing global collaborations, including an active partnership in Uzbekistan.
