About this programme

The Professional Advocate (PA) module is a national, Masters Level 7 accredited advocacy course designed to equip experienced registered nurses, midwives and allied health professionals with the skills to support their colleague's well-being and professional development.

At Â鶹ӰԺ we believe the PA agenda and tenets of the A-EQUIP model to be relevant and essential across all healthcare professions and therefore offer multi-professional cohorts as well as those specifically for registered nurses.

Utilising the NHS England advocating for education and quality improvement (A-EQUIP) model, participants learn to facilitate restorative clinical supervision (RCS), which aim to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for reflection on clinical, professional, and personal development issues. An important aspect of the role is leading quality improvement initiatives based on themes emerging from RCS. The ultimate goal being to enhance staff well-being, increase retention, reduce burnout and stress, and improve the overall quality of patient care.
